You may be dreaming of being taller. As becauseyou are shorter than your pals or you are lagging behind in height in your family. Well it's quite normal and many of you are still believing on myths that after an age of 20-21 years- you stop growing, but it's not true.

Yes you read it correctly, even after an age of 21 years, you are eligible to increase your height and its really proven and applied by many young people too.
Height of a person depends on mainly four factors that are-
* Genetics
* Environment
* Hormones
* Nutrition
Your family history of height depends on your ageing . You are most probably the hybrid of your father and mother. And genes accounts for 70-80% in determining your height, but you don't need to worry. You still have an opportunity by which you can definately increase height even after 21. For that you have to do following things that will work internally as wells as externally.
1. Exercises
^ you need to do few exercises like
- hanging exercises (you can do it anywhere ,you just need some hard surface that can hold your weight enough. You may find pull up bars in gyms, monkey bars in parks or even tree branches can aid you to increase height)
- cobra pose
- downward dog pose
- some aerobic exercise like cycling , swimming, jumping, sprinting, playing basketball etc
The above exercises are useful in stretching your muscles without any support that will enhance your blood supply to your entire body and also oxygen as well as nutrition which is all required for muscle growth.
2. Protein -
^ Protein plays an important role in development of body, but also repairs tissue damage and increase immune system of your body.
^ protein will satisfy the need of your muscles by repairing them from damage after any exercises and increase muscle mass to your body.
( Sources- beans , chicken breast, egg whites, tofu, soyabeans etc.)
3. Calcium -
^ It's a one of the major ingredient that help in increasing height. Because your skeleton is made-up of calcium. As the length of your bones increases you will also gain height.
^ But for that your bones need to add calcium and other minerals like phosphorus to grow. And it requires vitamin -D (calciferol) that you can get naturally from the sun.
( Sources- milk , yoghurt, dairy products, leafy vegetables like kale , spinach ,fish )
4. vegetables
^ specially leafy vegetables contain many micronutrients like zinc , potassium , magnesium which is required for normal development of your body and preserving bone mass.

5 . Sleep
^ According to one study it is shown that people who don't take a stress a lot & take appropriate sleep of approximately 8-9 hours can trigger your pituitary gland to secrete growth hormone(G.H) that can surely increase your height.
You can absolutely see results in few days and maybe in a week by going through above criteria. Apart from that reducing consumption of alcohol , tobacco, smoking can enhance your muscles extra oxygen and nutrients for its growth .
Also personally advising to loose body fat (especially of belly region) by avoiding junk foods containing saturated fats can help you to increase height quickly.
