Heart attack aka myocardial infarction(M.I). Any kind of obstruction to vasculature supply of heart (coronary artery) is said to be a heart attack. Different physiological & metabolic processes can lead to M.I. like calcium , fatty plaque , cholesterol deposition on arteries (atherosclerosis). Also as we grow older i.e. during ageing our arteries start loosing elasticity making it harder (arteriosclerosis) & ischemic ( low blood ) supply to heart causing discomfort.
Risk factors
Somehow we can do something if we are aware of this attack before its become too late- we can consult physician can have medical treatment on time in order not to experience this. So there are few things to take into consideration
If you are a men of about 45 years or more and for a women of 55 years or more then your blood carrying vessels become harder loosing its elasticity.
2. Physically inactive
We should give time to our body to increase physical strength likewise to our heart. Those who are physically inactive are more prone to this as their cardiac muscle are not strong enough.
In today's time we are more bent towards junk food (that are cooked quickly) like most of packed food items, beverages etc .Some people are prefer eating outside compared to home food due to works. In such food items there is presence of high amount of low density lipoprotein ( bad cholesterol) and we are consuming it without thinking a second. Due to this obesity is increasing drastically in population resulting heart attack.
Not producing enough of a hormone secreted by your pancreas (insulin) or not responding to insulin properly causes your body's blood sugar levels to rise, increasing your risk of a heart attack.
5. High blood pressure
Prolonged complaints of high blood pressure seems normal but its a very major issue that not only affect our heart leading heat attack. But also affect our other vital organs like kidney , brain ,eye etc.causing different nephropathy , retinopathy.
Depression and stress are one of the sources of causing vasoconstriction of vessels leading to heart attack.
